CompassionCare is celebrating our amazing nurses all month long! Today, meet Patty and learn about her passion for hospice nursing.
“I have been a nurse for just about 40 years and have experienced the pleasure of nursing in many ways over the years. It has been such a reward to help others that cannot help themselves. I try to always remain positive and provide care with a smile on my face, despite the challenges that may occur. Although risk is not new to nurses, this current global situation can be frightening. But our duty to serve comes first, and a positive attitude is essential.
Choosing hospice nursing more than 20 years ago was one of the best decisions I have ever made. This type of nursing has taught me that some of the best living can happen in circumstances that are not ideal, and to cherish the important things in life – family, love, health and happiness. I will be nearing the end of my nursing career in the next few years, and I can’t imagine my life without the privilege of practicing the most inspiring and fulfilling career ever created”
– Patricia Malloy, RN Case Manager.
CompassionCare is grateful for Patty’s heart for hospice, and are blessed to have her as part of our amazing nursing team at CCH. Thank you for what you do, every day, to care for our patients and families!
