Celebrating Nurses | Nicholas Arsenault

CompassionCare is celebrating our amazing nurses all month long! Meet Nick and learn about his passion for hospice nursing.

“I’m a relatively new nurse, having been a Case Manager with CompassionCare Hospice for 2 years. I’ve always loved the medical field, and I’ve always had a passion for helping others. I started on my nursing path approximately 6 years ago. Like many nurses starting off, I didn’t really know what field of nursing I wanted to work. Before becoming a nurse, I was a CNA, and that is where I started my career with CompassionCare Hospice.

It was while providing care for patients on hospice, seeing the positive impact I could make, that I realized that this was something I wanted to do. I decided to start nursing school while working as a hospice aide. By the time I received my nursing degree, there was no doubt in my mind that hospice was my calling. Needing hospice care can be a very emotional and scary time for some patients. The ability to help my patients through this trying time and showing them that there is still hope, joy and happiness in their lives, has in turn added hope, joy and happiness to my own life.

CCH has been one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for. The passion for hospice and dedication to exceptional patient care by our CCH staff is evident everyday. I couldn’t imagine doing anything but hospice care.” Nicholas Arsenault, RN Case Manager

CompassionCare is so fortunate to have dedicated nurses, like Nick, as part of our CCH Team! We are grateful for all you do, everyday, to care for our patients and families! Thank you!
